Intentional Trust and Courageous Conversations

In this post I want to share with you some thoughts on the importance of trust-based conversations, or what are sometimes referred to as courageous conversations.

You know what I mean I’m sure – a conversation that requires truth, respect, empathy, care, and careful wording.

Most relationships at some stage, whether at work or in your personal life will require you to have a courageous conversation.

Liz and I have been married for thirty six years come this December, and we are just this month celebrating working together in our own business for twenty six years. and something I’ve certainly learned over that time is that relationships are built on trust.

In this Trust Talk video I explore some thoughts on courageous conversations with you and why trust is so important in having courageous conversations.

Make your actions more intentional

You might be aware of the saying ‘The road to hell is paved with good intentions’. One simple interpretation of this is to say you can have all the right intentions, but if you don’t take action on them, your intentions will lead to nothing.

My Dad’s advice to me as a youngster was “Son, if you want to get stuff done … Do stuff!” I reckon that’s still pretty good advice.
